Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data we collect through rajgoodman.com, why we collect it, and the choices and rights you have.
Last updated: 2 July 2026
1. Who we are
This website, rajgoodman.com (the “Site”), is operated by Raj Goodman Anand (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the controller responsible for your personal data collected through the Site.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at raj@goodmanlantern.com.
2. The data we collect
We only collect data you choose to give us, plus a limited amount collected automatically to run and improve the Site.
Information you provide
- Contact enquiries. When you submit a contact form we collect your name, email address, the service you’re interested in, and your message.
- Newsletter sign-ups. When you subscribe we collect your email address.
Information collected automatically
- Cookies & similar technologies. With your consent, we use analytics and marketing cookies (see section 5). Strictly necessary cookies - including the one that remembers your cookie choice - are always active.
- Technical data. Standard server logs (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages requested) generated by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
- Anti-spam. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell humans from bots; it may process limited technical signals from your browser.
3. How and why we use your data
- To respond to your enquiries and provide the services you ask about.
- To send you our newsletter, where you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To measure how the Site is used so we can improve content and performance (analytics, with consent).
- To measure and, where you allow it, personalise our marketing (with consent).
- To keep the Site secure and prevent abuse.
4. Legal bases (UK / EU GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (analytics and marketing cookies, and the newsletter); our legitimate interests in running a secure, useful website and responding to enquiries; and taking steps at your request before entering into any engagement. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
5. Cookies
We group cookies into three categories:
| Category | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Core functionality and security, including remembering your consent choice. Always on. |
| Analytics | Anonymous usage measurement (e.g. Google Analytics via Google Tag Manager). Off until you allow it. |
| Marketing | Measuring and personalising advertising (e.g. LinkedIn, Google Ads). Off until you allow it. |
No analytics or marketing cookies are set before you make a choice. We implement Google Consent Mode v2, so tags respect your selection by default. You can review or change your choice at any time via the link, also available in the footer.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us operate the Site, each acting as our processor under contract:
- Hosting & delivery - our website hosting provider (serving pages and storing server logs).
- Contact enquiries - our lead-management system, which receives contact-form submissions.
- Newsletter - EmailOctopus, our email marketing platform.
- Security - Cloudflare (Turnstile anti-spam).
- Analytics & marketing - Google (Analytics / Tag Manager), and advertising partners, where you have consented.
We may also disclose data where required by law.
7. International transfers
Some of our providers are based outside your country. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the providers’ standard contractual clauses) to protect it.
8. How long we keep it
We keep contact enquiries for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider’s settings. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email raj@goodmanlantern.com. If you are in the UK or EU and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).
10. Children
The Site is intended for business professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, ask for your consent again.
